Try to understand yourself and think what will make you happy. Everyone has unique requirements for attaining happiness and what makes one person happy may be very different from what makes someone else happy. Utilize your efforts on your real target of happiness.

Make a plan for attaining the things and goals that you believe will make you happy. Your mood will very likely become pleasant  as your pursue your goals because you will feel better about yourself after going for something you value.

Be in the company of positive people. It is easy to think negatively when you are surrounded by people who think that way. Vice Versa, if you are with people who are happy go lucky their emotional state will be infectious.

When something goes wrong try to figure out a solution instead of blaming yourself. Truly contended people don’t allow little troubles to affect their mood because they know that with a little effort they can swing  the circumstances back in their favor.

Daily spend a few minutes thinking about the things that make you happy and which you did in that day. These few minutes will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive feelings in your life and will lead you to a continual road to happiness.

It’s very important to take some time each day to do something pleasant which is your liking. Whether you treat yourself to lunch, take a long, relaxing shower or simply spend a few extra minutes on your appearance you will be subconsciously adopting a better mood.

Try to find funny things in your daily routine and enjoy them openly, Finding the humor in situations can also lead to happiness. If there is something needs to be serious find a way to deal it lightly otherwise it would make you upset and unhappy.

Be healthy is another way to achieve happiness. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise has been known to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness and relax your mind from stress.

It is important that you should remind yourself that you deserve happiness. Those who believe that they are not worthy of happiness may subconsciously sabotage their efforts to achieve happiness. If necessary, ask your best friend to remind you that you deserve happiness and what steps you will take to achieve the happiness you desire.

Many people are living a life that is not theirs to live. They live their lives according to what others think is best for them, they live their lives according to what their parents think is best for them, to what their friends, their enemies and their teachers, their government and the media think is best for them. They ignore their inner voice, that inner calling. They are so busy with pleasing everybody, with living up to other people’s expectations, that they lose control over their lives. They forget what makes them happy, what they want, what they need….and eventually they forget about themselves. You have one life – this one right now – you must live it, own it, and especially don’t let other people’s opinions distract you from your path.
